2002-2009: 7 YEARS OF CVT IN THE NETHERLANDS

Shortly after I bought the book Complete Vocal Technique in 2002, I came in contact with Cathrine Sadolin.
From the start it was very obvious to me that she someone who walked a complete different path and stepped
out of the box. One thing lead to another and starting from 2003 I was the first agent in The Netherlands for CVT
and later on from the Danish singing institute CVI.

Since 7 years CVT has been a growing succes in The Netherlands. This new approach for all vocal styles based
on anatomy and scientific research has gained a lot of appreciation and acceptance amongst voice professionals.

From 2003-2009 many singers, actors, speech therapists and other voice professionals participated in:

●  workshops/masterclasses: over 650 participants
  1-year courses: over 60 participants
5-day summer courses: over 70 participants.

The Dutch translation of the book Complete Vocal Technique has already been published in the third revised edition.
Thousands of Dutch books have been sold, which is a great effort considering the specialist subject.

An important event for CVT was the presentation of the first results of the scientific research in 2007 on PEVOC7
(Pan-European Voice Conference) in Groningen by Dr. Julian McGlashan, Dr. Nazia Munir and Cathrine Sadolin.
Just like me, they also took part in forum discussions.

There are currently (December 2009) worldwide 59 Authorised CVT Teachers (+ Cathrine Sadolin herself), including
10 Dutch persons. These Dutch CVT Teachers are going to launch their own web site in 2010. On the picture
below you see the third international group of graduated CVT Teachers with their teachers.

In 2005 I was taught by Cathrine Sadolin during the very first 1-year Singer Course in Copenhagen. During that year
I also the experienced the opening of the institute (CVI). Now I also completed the 3-year Singer/Singing Teacher
in Copenhagen to be an authorised CVT Teacher. I have gained some good friends from this Danish adventure
and will in the future stay in close contact with Cathrine Sadolin and the CVI.

Seven years of pioneering and organizing have yielded me a lot knowledge and connections. I want to deeply thank
everybody who contributed to these seven years of success. After this fantastic period it is time for new adventures.
I will focus now completely on only singing and teaching.
